James Yawn is a photographer, a rocket scientist, and a career counselor. He photographs a wide spectrum of subjects, including landscapes, plants, animals and other life forms, rockets, images for technical sheets, adventures, and images for scientific research. James Yawn also taught digital photography for many years. The photographs in this art exhibit were taken when James and his wife Teresamarie were in New Mexico in the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019. On these trips, James was a Flight Safety Reviewer for an international rocket contest being held at Spaceport America and he took most of these photographs when arriving early in the morning at the launch site or late in the evening just before leaving the launch site.
